The girl students of Surguja division paid a courtesy visit to His Excellency the President

Ambikapur. Five girl students from Sarguja, Jashpur, Surajpur and Balrampur districts of Sarguja division had a courtesy meeting with Her Excellency President Draupadi Murmu in the capital Delhi on the occasion of Rakshabandhan. On this occasion, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan encouraged the children after knowing their well-being and wished everyone a bright future. The girl students expressed their gratitude to Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai and the administration with great enthusiasm for this golden opportunity.

Students were selected on the basis of their excellent performance in sports, music and other activities along with studies. Jyoti, a student of Kasturba Residential School Lakhanpur from Sarguja, Riya and Rajni Chauhan from Jashpur district, Nandini Kindo from Surajpur and Prashansha from Balrampur were included in the list. Superintendent Anuradha Singh was selected as in-charge of the children of Sarguja division by the state office and sent to Delhi.

During her meeting with the students, Her Excellency President Murmu congratulated them on Raksha Bandhan and explained the importance of Raksha Bandhan festival and suggested them to make honest efforts to achieve their goals by taking information from them about their studies and life goals. She took information from the students about Chhattisgarh’s culture, natural beauty and other specialties. The students tied Rakhi to her and also gave her gifts.

The students were thrilled and excited to meet the President for the first time and visit important places of the country’s capital New Delhi. On Thursday, the students who returned to Raipur met MD Samagra Shiksha Sanjeev Jha and SCERT Director Rajendra Katara, Deputy Director Samagra Shiksha Rajesh Singh and other officials and thanked them for providing this opportunity while sharing the experience of the first flight along with the golden memories of Rashtrapati Bhavan and Delhi. Senior officials also encouraged the children and inspired them to excel in studies as well as in all other fields in the future so that such opportunities can be available again in the future.

District Collector Vilas Bhoskar, CEO District Panchayat Nutan Kanwar, Joint Director of Education Sanjay Gupta, DEO Ashok Sinha and DMC Ravi Shankar Tiwari congratulated the principal and the students for their achievement and encouraged them to continue doing such excellent work in the future.
