The global pandemic forced the film industry to change: Janhvi Kapoor

Mumbai. Actress Janhvi Kapoor said that the global pandemic has forced the cinema world to change. She believes that medium-sized films need more support from producers and audiences. Janhvi (27)’s film ‘Mr. and Mrs. Mahi’ has released on the big screen today. The actress said that she wants to play roles that are based on a story.

In an interview to ‘PTI-Bhasha’, Janhvi Kapoor said, “The change in the way the audience watches cinema after the global pandemic has forced us to make some changes. This is a good time.” The actress believes that medium-grade films need to be encouraged by producers to give them due respect. In the film ‘Mr. and Mrs. Mahi’, Janhvi Kapoor plays the character of Mahima, who is a doctor by profession. However, she is interested in cricket and after marriage, she tries to fulfill her dream of becoming a cricketer with the help of her husband.

He said, “As an artist, you long to do films or tell stories like ‘Mr. and Mrs. Mahi’. So I hope people like it and enjoy it so that we can make more such films.” Produced by Zee Studios and Dharma Productions, ‘Mr. and Mrs. Mahi’ also stars actor Rajkumar Rao in the lead role.
