Satyapal Rajput, Raipur. ISO certificate has been provided for the cold chain points created for the safe maintenance of the vaccine in three hospitals of Bastar region of Chhattisgarh. These include Community Health Center Narharpur, Keshkal and Primary Health Center Benur. Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai and Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal have congratulated and congratulated the officers and employees of the Health Department for this achievement.
ISO certificate has been issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) in the cold chain points of these government hospitals of Kanker, Kondagaon and Narayanpur districts after reviewing the vaccine and logistics, storage of the vaccine in appropriate, safe and recommended temperature etc. Health Department officials said that with the technical support of UNDP, arrangements for maintenance, storage etc. of the vaccine were being made at Community Health Center Narharpur and Keshakal and Primary Health Center Benur. The ISO team also examined the records of these hospitals for effective supply chain management of the vaccine and related logistics and real-time stock updates online.
Health department officials also informed that the ISO team also tested the efficacy of the quality vaccine by recording temperatures twice a day and monitoring web-based data loggers in these hospitals. Apart from this, after checking various parameters of management like fire safety in cold chain point along with trained and skilled human resources, these hospitals have been given ISO certificates if all the parameters were found correct.
