Surajpur: Three people died and two others were seriously injured in a road accident in Surajpur district of Chhattisgarh. Police officials gave this information on Wednesday. Police officials said that in the Pratappur police station area of the district at around 11 pm on Wednesday night, three people died on the spot and two others were injured in a collision between a vehicle and a car near Gotgawan village on the Pratappur-Ambikapur road.
Officials said that on Wednesday night, four youths from Govardhanpur village of Pratappur development block were going to Ambikapur in a car. When he reached near Gotgawan village, his car collided with a speeding vehicle going to Varanasi. He said that in this incident, car riders Priyanshu Patel (24), Deepak Patel (23), and Pushpendra Bhai Patel (21) died on the spot.
Car rider Vinay Yadav (21) and pickup driver Vikram Singh Bada (42) were seriously injured. Police officials said that after receiving the information, a police team was dispatched to the spot and the dead bodies and injured were sent to the hospital. The injured have been admitted to Ambikapur Medical College Hospital.
