Narayanpur: Security forces have recovered three pressure bombs in Naxal-affected Narayanpur district of Chhattisgarh. Police officials gave this information on Tuesday. Police officials said that security forces have recovered three pressure bombs weighing five kilograms each from the road of Hokpad village in the middle of Kasturmetta-Mohandi village of the district.
He said that a joint team of the District Police Force and 53rd Corps of Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) was sent in the anti-Naxal operation in the district. When the security force team was near Hokpad village, they got information that three pressure bombs were planted in the middle of the road.
Officials said that all three pressure bombs were later recovered and destroyed by the bomb disposal squad. They said that the Naxalites had planted a pressure bomb on the road to harm the security forces, but it was already destroyed.
Naxalites often plant pressure bombs on the roads to harm the security forces deployed in Naxal-affected areas of the state. Many times this also causes harm to common people and cattle.
