Srinagar: Three terrorists were killed on Saturday in an encounter between security forces and terrorists in Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir. Police gave this information. Police said that security forces had launched a cordon and search operation late Friday night in Chak Tapper Kreeri of Pattan area in the North Kashmir district.
According to a police officer, during the search operation in the area, the terrorists opened fire on the security forces, after which an encounter started between them. He said that the security forces had surrounded the area from all sides and in the encounter that took place in the morning, they killed three terrorists.
Efforts are being made to identify the terrorists and also to find out which organization they were associated with. The officer said that the operation is still going on.
