Tournament to begin on Oct 5, IND vs PAK on Oct 15- The Uncut

The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Tuesday released the official fixtures list for the 2023 men’s ODI World Cup which takes place in India.

The tournament opener will be a repeat of the 2019 World Cup Final with defending champions England taking on New Zealand at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on October 5. 

The World Cup will take place across 10 venues and span across 46 days later this year. The venues include – Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Koltaka, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Dharamshala, Pune and Lucknow. 

Hosts India will play five-time world champions Australia at the Chepauk Stadium in Chennai on October 8, while the much-anticipated clash with arch-rivals Pakistan will take place in Ahmedabad on October 15.

The semifinals will be played in Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium and Kolkata’s Eden Gardens on November 15 and 16 respectively, while the final will be played in Ahmedabad on November 19.
