Mumbai. Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray on Thursday released his party’s manifesto for the Maharashtra Assembly elections, assuring free education for boys and stabilizing prices of essential commodities while also promising to cancel the Dharavi redevelopment project. Has been done.
Thackeray said most of the election promises are part of the manifesto of the opposition alliance Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), but there are some points which need special attention. He said the MVA alliance comprising Shiv Sena, Congress and Sharad Pawar-led Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) will also release its manifesto for the state assembly elections to be held on November 20.
Thackeray said that there will be a temple of Maratha king Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in every district. He also promised to implement the old pension scheme and remove the 50 percent limit of reservation. Thackeray assured that just as girl students in the state are getting free education as per the government policy, if the MVA comes to power, it will be implemented for the male students also. He also promised free travel for women in public transport buses.
The former Chief Minister said that apart from the recruitment of 18,000 women in the state police force, such police stations will also be established in Maharashtra, which will have only women. He said that MVA will also keep the prices of essential commodities stable. Regarding the Dharavi redevelopment project, the former Chief Minister said that it will be canceled as it will have a bad impact on Mumbai.
He said that keeping in mind the rapid urbanization, there will be a housing policy in Maharashtra and Mumbai also. Thackeray said affordable houses will be built for the ‘sons of the soil’ in urban, semi-urban and rural areas. Thackeray said that if the MVA comes to power, it will stop the cluster development of Koliwada and Gauthans and this will be done after taking the residents into confidence.
On employment generation, the Shiv Sena chief said that his party will work towards employment generation. He said that employment fairs will be organized every three months in each district. Thackeray also said that an international finance center would be set up in the state.
