Unemployment is at its peak in Haryana: Congress leader Bhupesh Baghel

The Uncut

Chandigarh. Congress leader Bhupesh Baghel on Thursday claimed that unemployment is at its peak in Haryana and the people of the state will oust the BJP from power in the elections to be held on October 5. The former Chhattisgarh chief minister said the Narendra Modi government was “forced to withdraw three controversial farm laws” due to farmers’ protests, but Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Kangana Ranaut’s recent statement indicates that the laws will be repealed. Can be brought again.

Baghel told reporters here, “There is so much unemployment here that people are forced to sell their land and are even taking the risk of sending their children abroad illegally.” He said that BJP is facing the anger of all sections of people including farmers across the state. Beghal said that Prime Minister Modi had promised to provide two crore jobs but the central government has failed to fill even 65 lakh vacant posts.

The Congress leader said, “People are fed up with the BJP rule and they want to remove it from power.” When asked about Modi calling the previous Bhupendra Singh Hooda government in Haryana a rule of ‘middlemen and sons-in-law’, Baghel said, “Even in the Lok Sabha elections, you must have seen that he (Modi) used ‘Mujra’ in his speeches and even Used words like cow and buffalo… Is it appropriate for a Prime Minister to use such words?” Baghel alleged, “Anyway, a Prime Minister should not campaign excessively in state elections, but he becomes more of a campaign minister than a Prime Minister.” He said that BJP removed Manohar Lal Khattar from the post of Chief Minister of Haryana just before the Lok Sabha elections and now no BJP candidate wants him to campaign for them.

Baghel said that BJP people are saying that if Khattar campaigns for any candidate, his defeat is certain because he has become very unpopular. He said, “Since he is a friend of the Prime Minister, he made him a Union Minister, but now he (Prime Minister) is not able to make him sit with him in the rallies.” Baghel highlighted the election promises made by Congress to the people of Haryana. These include restoring the old pension scheme, legal guarantee of MSP and giving compensation to farmers.
