New Delhi: Union Women and Child Development Minister Annapurna Devi on Thursday launched a centralised platform designed to make workplaces safer for women by resolving and managing sexual harassment complaints.
The ministry said in a statement that the ‘She-Box’ portal is a significant development in the government’s efforts to ensure safety of women at workplaces. The new website of the ministry was also launched at the event held here. The ministry said that this portal will act as a centralized repository for information related to internal committees and local committees across the country, which will include both government and private sectors.

This portal will help women to register complaints, monitor their status and ensure that complaints are resolved on time. The statement said that it also includes a designated nodal officer for real-time monitoring of complaints, ensuring a streamlined and assured redressal process. On this occasion, Annapurna Devi emphasized the importance of this initiative in making the workplace environment more safe and inclusive for women. She said, “This initiative is an important step towards providing a more efficient and secure platform to resolve complaints of workplace-related sexual harassment. It furthers the government’s commitment to create a safer and more inclusive working environment for women across India. “
