The Uncut

Raipur. On World Bamboo Day today, Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari inaugurated the world’s tallest bamboo tower built in Bemetara online. Chhattisgarh Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh also joined the inauguration program virtually. The world’s tallest bamboo tower has been constructed by Bhavya Srishti Udyog in village Kathia of Bemetara district. Built at a cost of about Rs 11 lakh, this tower is 140 feet high and weighs 7400 kg. This tower, designed like the Eiffel Tower of Paris, has been built by Ganesh Verma, founder of Bhavya Srishti Udyog and associated with bamboo technology.

While inaugurating the bamboo tower, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari said that Bhavya Srishti Udyog is constantly researching on bamboo and bringing out its new features. With their new thinking and initiative, they have built this 140 feet high tower. This tower is light in weight and has a life span of at least 25 years. It can be used as a watch tower, telecom tower, transmission tower and radio tower. He said that Bhavya Srishti Udyog is constantly working on new designs and concepts of the use of bamboo and the materials made from it. We are fully supporting them. I congratulate them for this work.

Gadkari said that if the Chhattisgarh government makes a policy regarding the use of bamboo and encourages it, the lives of the tribals there will change. If new designs are made in Chhattisgarh’s handlooms, handicrafts and metal-crafts, then they will sell well. I will request the Chhattisgarh government through Dr. Raman Singh that if design centers are made to prepare new designs of furniture and other materials from bamboo based on their utility, then products worth exporting will also be made in the state.

While virtually addressing the inauguration program, Vidhan Sabha Speaker Dr. Raman Singh said that this newly constructed 140 feet tower has increased the pride of Chhattisgarh. I am proud to see the world’s tallest 140 feet bamboo tower. For this, I congratulate all the colleagues associated with Bhavya Srishti Udyog. This new start-up of Chhattisgarh is connected to the earth, connected to the farmer and connected to our forest dwellers. MP Vijay Baghel and MLAs Dipesh Sahu and Ishwar Sahu also attended the inauguration program of the bamboo tower in Kathia.

Ganesh Verma, founder of Bhavya Srishti Udyog, said that his company’s products are recognized by National Automotive Test Tracks, Central Building Research Institute, Indian Railways, Indian Road Congress and other government institutions. The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways is taking important steps to promote this environmentally friendly and innovative solution. The ministry is ready to start trial projects to install bamboo crash barriers in 25 states of the country over a length of hundreds of kilometers, which will be implemented within the next few months. Based on this, the possibilities of widespread installation of bamboo crash barriers will be assessed, which can prove to be a boon for farmers, village economy and environment.
