Ajay Suryavanshi, Jashpur. Hundreds of farmers' vegetables and orchard crops of mango and litchi have suffered huge losses due to hailstorm in more than a dozen villages in the district. Regarding this, farmers have appealed to Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai to provide compensation. Meanwhile, former Congress Parliamentary Secretary UD Minj says that the problems of farmers have increased due to this disaster. The Chief Minister should immediately provide relief to the farmers by conducting a survey of crop losses.

In fact, the problems of farmers have increased due to heavy hailstorm after two days of intermittent rain in dozens of villages including Samarbahar, Bimra, Maini in Bagicha area. After heavy hailstorm in Bagicha, Manora and Asta areas, a thick layer of snow had accumulated far and wide. Due to this, there was huge loss of vegetables and fruit crops and a line of worry was clearly visible on the faces of the farmers of the region. Farmers have also appealed to Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai's government to provide compensation for the huge loss of crops due to hailstorm.

In Bagicha, Pathalgaon area, farmers have suffered huge losses in mango orchards as well as pulses and vegetable crops. Farmers say that cucumber, tomato and other crops have been destroyed due to unseasonal rains.

Garden SDM Omkar Yadav has visited all the villages affected by the natural disaster here. He said that more than 60 hectares of crops have been affected. Compensation cases for fruit orchards and vegetable crops of all farmers are being registered. Administrative officials have started working to provide relief to the farmers from the disaster of hailstorm and rain.
