Raipur. April 1 is an important day for the Odia speaking people of Odisha and Chhattisgarh states. Sarva Odia Samaj and Utkal Cultural Council of Chhattisgarh, Raipur is going to celebrate the 89th Foundation Day of Odisha state on 01 April this year. Governor Vishwabhushan Harichandan will be the chief guest in this program. Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai will preside over. On this occasion, all the ministers of Chhattisgarh government, leader of opposition, Raipur MP, Raipur city MLA and Mayor of Raipur Municipal Corporation will be present. This program will be held under the guidance of MLA Purandar Mishra.

This program will be organized on April 01 at 8 pm at Government School, Chhotapara, Raipur. Cultural troupe performed Oriya songs on this occasion. Bhajans, Odissi dance and Sambalpuri dance will be presented.

Jashpur, Kunkuri, Lailunga, Tamnar, Raigarh, Pusaur, Sariya, Barmkela, Sarangarh, Saraipali, Basna, Pithora, Khallari, Mahasamund, Gariaband, Kanker, Kondagaon, Jagdalpur, Datewara, Bhilai, Durg, Surguja, Bilaspur and Raipur of Chhattisgarh state. There is a population of more than 35 lakh Odia brides of different castes in India.
