Uttarakhand: Sadhvi Prachi appeals to police for protection citing threat to her life

Haridwar. Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) leader Sadhvi Prachi on Sunday appealed to the police to provide security, citing threat to her life. Sadhvi Prachi told reporters here that a woman who had come to seek shelter in her Vedic Niketan Ashram with her two small children, had hatched a conspiracy against her. Sadhvi has requested the police to investigate the entire incident and provide her security. The VHP leader told that some time ago he had given shelter in his ashram to a woman named Sonia, who had described herself as destitute. Sadhvi told that a few days ago, a person of a particular religion came to meet Sonia in the ashram with a child, which made her suspicious of him and she informed the police about the matter.

He told that after this the woman (Sonia) was asked to vacate the ashram but for the last 15 days she has been asking for time off for one or two days and is also spreading false propaganda against him in the neighbourhood. Sadhvi told that in the meantime she again informed the police who searched Sonia’s belongings. He told that during the search, police also recovered Aadhaar cards of names like Sonia Choudhary, Sonia Bano, Pragya Sharma etc. from the woman, along with religious texts, a weapon and two mobile phones. After this the police took the woman into custody. Sadhvi Prachi alleged that she suspected that some big conspiracy was being hatched against her, about which she came to know in time. He said that his life is in danger. Sadhvi has requested the police to investigate the entire incident and provide security.
