Mumbai: Former greats Vivian Richards, Sunil Gavaskar and Shaun Pollock were on Saturday announced as members of the Governing Council of the International Masters League (IML) tournament. The inaugural season of this six-nation T20 tournament, featuring former players including Indian legend Sachin Tendulkar and West Indies’ Brian Lara, will be held from November 17 to December 8.
“This triumvirate (Richards, Gavaskar and Pollock) will oversee the strategic direction, rules and operations of IML,” IML said in a release here. This will ensure that this league remains a major platform.” The matches of this tournament will be played at three venues. Its matches will be held in Navi Mumbai (17 to 20 November), Lucknow (21 to 27 November) and Raipur (28 to 8 December).
