We are in NDA, Andhra Pradesh has suffered losses equivalent to 30 years: TDP chief Naidu

The Uncut

Amravati. Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief N Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday said his party is in the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and will attend the NDA meeting in New Delhi later in the day. He also alleged that Andhra Pradesh has suffered 30 years worth of losses and it is his job to set things right.

Pawan Kalyan, the chief of NDA constituent Janasena Party, will also attend the NDA meeting in the national capital. This meeting is taking place a day after the alliance (NDA) won the assembly and Lok Sabha elections in Andhra Pradesh. When Naidu was asked about his Delhi visit in a press conference, he said, “We are in the NDA. I am going for the NDA meeting. If something happens with time, we will tell you.” Janasena sources told ‘PTI-Bhasha’ that Kalyan has also left for the national capital to attend the NDA meeting.

Senior leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led National Democratic Alliance are meeting in New Delhi on Wednesday to take stock of the results of the Lok Sabha elections and discuss in detail about government formation. TDP and Janasena, which won 16 and two Lok Sabha seats respectively from Andhra Pradesh, will play an important role in forming the government at the Centre.

The BJP has won three seats in Andhra Pradesh. Overall, the NDA has won 21 Lok Sabha seats in the southern state.
In the assembly elections, TDP got 135 seats, Janasena – 21, BJP – eight and YSRCP – 11. Naidu said that Andhra Pradesh has suffered a lot in the last five years. He alleged that the state has suffered losses equivalent to 30 years and his job is to set things right.

He alleged that a lot of damage has been done in the last five years, the systems in the state have been destroyed and the economy has collapsed. He said that no person is permanent in politics and there are ups and downs in it. He said, “The country is permanent, democracy is permanent, political parties are permanent, but power is not permanent.” Taking a dig at the YSR Congress Party, Naidu said that the political parties which do not follow the right path will be finished.

He said the rule of Yuvajana Sramika Raithu Congress Party (YSRCP) chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is a ‘case study’ for everyone, which shows what a ruler should be and what he should not be. Naidu said, “People will not forgive arrogance, dictatorship, negligence and any high-handedness and this has been proved. People have proved that this is the moral lesson that any destroyer who walks with corruption and arrogance will get.”
