West Indies close to victory in the first test, 17 wickets fell on the fourth day

North Sound: Bangladesh team is 224 runs behind West Indies on the fourth day of the first cricket test and has only three wickets left in the second innings. Chasing the target of 333 runs to win, Bangladesh lost seven wickets for 109 runs at the end of the fourth day. On the fourth day, 17 wickets fell, out of which 14 were taken by fast bowlers.

Zakir Ali was playing on 15 runs when the game was stopped for the third consecutive day due to bad light. He made a partnership of 43 runs with Mehdi Hasan Miraj (45). Mehdi was out four overs before the end of the game. Kemar Roach and Jayden Seales took three wickets each for West Indies. Roach dismissed Zakir Hasan (0), Shahadat Hussain (4) and Mominul Haq (11).

Mehdi then made a partnership of 36 runs with Liton Das (22) and 43 runs with Zakir. Seales took West Indies closer to victory by dismissing Mehdi and Taijul Islam. Earlier, West Indies team was out for 152 runs in the second innings. For Bangladesh, Taskin Ahmed took six wickets for 64 runs.
