10 Naxalites including two female Naxalites surrendered in Dantewada

Dantewada. On Wednesday, 10 Maoists including two women surrendered before security forces in Chhattisgarh’s Naxal-affected Dantewada district. Police gave this information. Police officials said that 10 Naxalites have surrendered before security forces, including two women. They said that the surrendered Naxalites were active in Indravati Area Committee. They said that the Naxalites are influenced by the police’s rehabilitation campaign ‘Loan Varratu’ and are disappointed with the hollow ideology of Maoists.

Police officials said that the Maoists are accused of digging roads, felling trees to block roads and putting up posters and banners during the bandh called by the Naxalites. He said that the surrendered Naxalites will be provided facilities as per the surrender and rehabilitation policy of the state government. Along with this, a total of 815 Maoists, including 180 rewarded Naxalites, have surrendered to the security forces so far under the police’s ‘Loan Varratu’ (return to your home/village) campaign launched in June 2020, officials said.
