Dantewada. Security forces have arrested 15 Naxalites including seven women and recovered explosives from them in Chhattisgarh’s Naxal-affected Dantewada district. Police officials gave this information on Tuesday. Police officials said that security forces arrested 15 Naxalites near Gumlanar village in Geedam police station area of ​​the district. They said that on May 25, as part of the anti-Naxal operation in the district, teams of ‘DRG’ and ‘Bastar Fighters’ Dantewada were sent to Gumlanar, Mustalnar, Girsapara villages.

Officials said that when the security forces were near Gumlanar village on the evening of May 26, the Naxalites detonated a landmine in the area and started running away into the forest. They said that later the police team surrounded the area and arrested 15 Naxalites including seven women. They said that when the Naxalites were interrogated, they told that they were lying in ambush to harm the security forces. Officials said that the security forces have recovered explosives, detonators, Naxal uniforms and other items from the Naxalites. They said that the operation against Naxalites is continuing in the area.
