33 Naxalites surrendered: gave up arms through rehabilitation policy, CM Sai expressed happiness

Raipur. Naxalites are returning to the mainstream of society after being influenced by the surrender and rehabilitation policy of the Chhattisgarh government. CM Vishnudev Sai has expressed happiness over the surrender of 33 Naxalites in Bijapur district. He has talked about working for the revival of the surrendered Naxalites.

CM Shri Sai wrote on his social media handle X that, disturbed by the ideology of Maoists and influenced by the surrender and rehabilitation policy of the Chhattisgarh government, it is very pleasing that 33 Maoists of Bijapur district surrendered before the police. Out of these, 3 Maoists have a reward of Rs 5 lakh each. These Maoists who have given up their guns and returned to the mainstream of society are welcome. Our government is ready for their revival. Many congratulations to the police and security forces for this important success.

109 Naxalites surrendered

Let us tell you that, for development in tribal areas, Vishnu Sarkar has started the “Niyad Nellnar Yojana” meaning “Your Good Village” scheme. Under this scheme, the government is providing all the basic facilities in the village. Security camps are being opened in Naxal-affected areas, which are working as relief camps for the villagers. Along with this, Naxalites are also getting influenced by the surrender and rehabilitation policy of the government and giving up their guns. So far in the year 2024, 189 Naxalites have been arrested. At the same time, 109 Naxalites have surrendered.
