Korba: Once again a young man died in a tragic accident near Kothari on Korba-Champa road this morning. Two people were injured. After this accident a crowd of people gathered at the accident spot and then the angry people blocked the road.
It is being told that the deceased Rakesh Kumar Ratre, resident of village Akhrapali Baridih police station Urga, had gone to Kothari with his two companions on a bike to collect the installment money. From there, all three were returning to their village on a bike. Then near Kothari, the driver of truck CG 12 AV 1187 negligently hit the bike. Where Rakesh died on the spot.
The friend of the deceased Rakesh told that the truck was moving at a very high speed and in an attempt to avoid it, the bike lost control and fell. During this, the three youths riding the bike also fell. In a moment, the wheel passed over Rakesh in front of his friend. Two others have received minor injuries in the accident. The truck driver left the vehicle and fled from the spot.
On receiving the information, the family of the deceased and the police reached the spot. As soon as the information of the incident was received, the Dial 112 team reached the spot and took the body in their custody and left for the District Medical College for postmortem. The villagers were enraged by the incident and started protesting by blocking the Korba-Champa main road.
On receiving information about the incident, senior police officers reached the spot and are trying to end the protest by persuading the villagers. On the other hand, the villagers are protesting for their various demands. Due to this, the traffic on the road came to a halt.
