Always support NDA because Modi government helped in development of Sikkim: CM Tamang

The Uncut

Gangtok. Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang on Monday said his party SKM will continue to support the NDA as the central government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has helped in the development of the Himalayan state. Tamang, the head of the Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM), took oath as the chief minister of the Himalayan state for the second term at the Paljor Stadium today.

Speaking to PTI Video, Tamang said, “The priority of our government in this term will be electricity, water, roads, health, education and employment.” The SKM chief said his party won the assembly elections due to the development work done by his government despite facing serious challenges during the Covid-19 pandemic.

On his party’s support to the Modi government, he said, “Even in my first term, we supported the NDA… We will always support the NDA because it has supported our state.” Tamang said, “Earlier, Sikkim did not get any support from the central government, but after Modiji came to power, we are getting full support for the development of the state.”
