India alliance is plotting to imprison daughters and women in their homes: Adityanath

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday attacked the opposition alliance ‘Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance’ (‘India’) and alleged that this alliance is conspiring to imprison women and daughters in their homes by implementing Sharia law in the country.

Adityanath said in a public meeting organised in favour of BJP ally Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party candidate Arvind Rajbhar from Mau’s Ghosi Lok Sabha constituency, “There is a need to be cautious of the Indi (India) alliance, because it says that if it comes to power, it will impose inheritance tax. This tax of theirs is like Aurangzeb’s Jaziya tax.” According to him, the ‘Indi’ people say that if they come to power, they will implement personal law, that is, they want to implement Talibani and Sharia law in the country. The Chief Minister alleged that they are conspiring to imprison daughters and women in their homes, but they do not know that this country will run by Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar’s Constitution. He said, “We will not let the evil practice of triple talaq start again in the country.”

Adityanath said that the thinking of Congress and Samajwadi Party is negative and these people are against Lord Ram as well as the country. He said, “These people rob the rights of Dalits and backward classes. Now their eyes are on the reservation of OBC (other backward classes). They say that they will break into OBC reservation and give it to Muslims, but we will not let this happen. This is the right of the people of OBC caste and we will not let this right be snatched away.” He said that Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar had said that religion cannot be the basis of reservation. He alleged that the opposition parties want to divide the country once again on the basis of religion.
He said, “But the public has understood their intentions. That is why they say that we will bring back those who have brought Ram.”
