Kolkata. Bangladesh MP Anwarul Azim Anar, who reached Kolkata on May 12 for treatment, has been missing for the last few days. A senior official of Bangladesh High Commission gave this information here. He told that Anar, an MP from Bangladesh’s ruling party Awami League, is missing since May 13.

“He had come to Kolkata on May 12 for treatment and was staying at a friend’s house in Baranagar in the northern part of the city,” the officer said. He had gone to meet someone on May 13 but did not return. His friend later lodged a police complaint.” He said that Anar was missing for the last eight days but messages were sent from his phone to his family members that he had gone to New Delhi. The officer said, “There is no trace of him.” We are in touch with the police and administration.”
