Raipur. For the second time, 3 women MPs have been elected out of 11 Lok Sabha seats. The representation of women is more than 27% in 11 seats. BJP and Congress have given tickets to women in 3 seats each. BJP has nominated Saroj Pandey from Korba, Roopkumari Chaudhary from Mahasamund, Kamlesh Jangde from Janjgir-Champa. Congress has nominated Jyotsna Mahant from Korba, Maneka Singh from Raigarh, Shashi Singh from Surguja. Out of 6 women candidates, 2 BJP and 1 Congress candidate won. Jyotsna Mahant from Congress and Roopkumari Chaudhary and Kamlesh Jangde from BJP have won.

After BJP’s big victory in Chhattisgarh, CM Vishnudev Sai has expressed his gratitude to the people and workers of the state. He said that the double engine government in the state will develop rapidly and will make the dream of the state come true. This time we will follow the mandate with more dedication.

Chhattisgarh will get some relief from the scorching sun and heat today. There are chances of thunder, lightning and thunderstorms at some places in the state. The thunderstorms can blow at a speed of 40 to 50 km per hour. The weather department has issued an alert regarding thunderstorms in many parts. Raipur will also remain cloudy today and there are chances of light rain. The maximum temperature in Raipur can reach 43 degrees.
