Bijapur: Security forces have killed two Naxalites in an encounter in Chhattisgarh’s Naxal-affected Bijapur district. Police officials gave this information on Wednesday. Police officials said that security forces have killed two Naxalites in an encounter in Baddepara area under Madde police station area of the district.
He said that security forces were sent for patrolling after receiving information about the presence of Naxalites in Madde police station area. When the team was near Baddepara, the Naxalites started firing on the security forces. After this, the security forces also retaliated.
Officials said that the security forces have so far recovered the bodies of two Naxalites, weapons and other items. Some other Naxalites are also reported to have been killed in this incident. They said that the operation against Naxalites is continuing in the area. More information regarding the encounter is awaited.
