Congress leader murder case: Court sentenced double life imprisonment to four accused, Rajeev Mishra and Kukku Punjabi were shot dead.

Kumar Inder, Jabalpur. While hearing the heinous murder case that took place in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh in 2017, the court today sentenced the accused. In this case, the court has sentenced four accused to three years imprisonment along with double life imprisonment for possessing weapons. Two accused were acquitted due to lack of evidence. Along with this, the court has also imposed a fine.

Congress leader and a history sheeter were shot dead

On the night of April 1, 2017, attackers shot dead Congress leader Raju Mishra and his fellow history-sheeter Kukku Punjabi in the middle of the road. The attackers surrounded both of them on the Damoh Naka-Baldevbagh road and fired 25 to 30 rounds of bullets, after which the miscreants fled away.

What happened on the day of the incident?

On the day of the incident, deceased Raju Mishra was at his home when Cuckoo called him out. While both of them were talking, they reached Kumbhare Health Club located on the other side of Damohanaka-Baldevbagh Road. Both of them stood up and started talking. Meanwhile, 6-7 attackers riding motorcycles arrived and surrounded both of them. Within no time, indiscriminate firing started.

Before the people nearby could understand anything, the attackers ran away after firing. Congress leaders Raju and Kukku continued to suffer on the spot. Kukku was hit by a bullet each in the eye and Raju in the stomach. Bystanders took both of them to Metro Hospital for immediate treatment, where doctors declared them dead late in the night.
