New Delhi.Top Congress leaders on Wednesday discussed the party’s strategy and poll preparations in Chhattisgarh, where assembly elections are due later this year. In this meeting held at the party headquarters, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, former party president Rahul Gandhi, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, besides party in-charge for the state Kumari Selja and organization general secretary KC Venugopal attended.
Presiding over the meeting, Kharge said that the party members will work together to bring a change in the lives of the people of Chhattisgarh. Kharge said in a tweet, “Garhbo Nava Chhattisgarh, this is not just a slogan for us, it is a goal for the progress and social justice of Chhattisgarh. His unwavering faith in the people of Chhattisgarh and the Congress party will continue to propel the continuous stream of development.” He said, “We will work together and keep bringing change in the lives of the people of Chhattisgarh.” During the meeting, further strategy of the Congress was discussed.
Several ministers, including party’s Chhattisgarh unit chief Mohan Markam and TS Singh Deo, were also present in the meeting. After the meeting, Baghel tweeted, “There was an important discussion about the changes coming in the lives of the people from the model of Nava Chhattisgarh and the upcoming assembly elections.” Along with this, he also used the hashtag of ‘Hain ready hum’.
