Raipur. In the budget session of Chhattisgarh Assembly starting from today, Congress is preparing to corner the government on various issues. In view of which, a meeting of the Congress Legislature Party was organized at the residence of Leader of Opposition Dr. Charandas Mahant in Shankar Nagar. In this meeting held in the presence of former Chief Minister of the state Bhupesh Baghel, State Congress President Deepak Baij and all Congress MLAs and senior leaders, the strategy for the budget session was decided. After the meeting, former Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel fiercely targeted the Sai government.
After the meeting of the Congress Legislative Party, former CM Bhupesh Baghel said that many farmers of the state did not get a chance to sell paddy. Despite having a tribal CM in the state, massive deforestation is taking place and the law and order situation in the state is in disrepair. Today, in the Congress Legislature Party meeting, there was discussion about Naxal incidents happening in the state.
Regarding the Income Tax Department's action against former Chhattisgarh minister Amarjeet Bhagat, CM Bhupesh said that Amarjeet Bhagat is an established and tribal leader. The IT team harassed him for 5 days but nothing came out. Efforts are being made to tarnish the image of opposition leaders with the help of central agencies across the country.
Taking aim at the women who were disappointed over the form of Mahtari Vandan Yojana, the former CM targeted BJP and said that it has been two months since the supplementary budget came. Many conditions have been laid down in the form of Mahtari Vandan Yojana. Verification is not required for this scheme and payment should be made directly. When provisions have been made in the budget then why are they not being received? There are so many criteria that most of the people will be cut.
