Hospice: Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama will travel to the US this month for knee treatment, his office said on Monday. “After June 20, there will be no events, including public meetings, until further notice,” Dalai Lama’s secretary Tseten Samdup Choekyapa said in a statement.
It said, “The Dalai Lama is going to travel to America for the treatment of his knees. Regular programs will be resumed only after he returns to Dharamsala.” The Dalai Lama (88) fled Tibet in 1959 and has been living in exile in India since then.
