The Uncut

New Delhi. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday modified the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) 2014 slogan to target Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying ‘good days are about to come, Modi ji is about to go’. He also expressed confidence that the opposition ‘India’ alliance will emerge victorious after the Lok Sabha elections.

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal praised his wife Sunita Kejriwal for taking charge of the election campaign in his absence and described her as the ‘Queen of Jhansi’. Sunita Kejriwal was also seen for the first time with Arvind Kejriwal in election meetings on Monday.

Arvind Kejriwal said at a street meeting in Gandhinagar, East Delhi, “Today I have also brought my wife with me. He took charge in my absence. When I was in jail, she used to come to meet me. I used to ask him about the well being of my Delhiites and send my message to you. She is like the queen of Jhansi.” Sunita Kejriwal also addressed the people and appealed to them to vote in favor of AAP so that her husband is not sent to jail again.

She said, “It is because of your blessings that my husband is here with us today. God helps those who do good work. Now if you want that my husband should not go to jail then vote in your favor on 25th May.” Arvind Kejriwal was arrested on March 21 in a money laundering case related to the alleged Delhi excise scam. The apex court granted him interim bail till June 1. June 1 is the last phase of the general elections being held in seven phases. The Supreme Court directed Arvind Kejriwal to surrender on June 2 and return to jail. Arvind Kejriwal reiterated his promise to give full statehood to Delhi if he comes to power.

Winds have changed, NDA’s departure certain: Congress

After the completion of the fifth phase of Lok Sabha elections, Congress claimed on Monday that the wind of the country has changed and it is taking the form of a storm and the departure of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is certain. In the fifth phase of Lok Sabha elections, votes were cast on a total of 49 seats.

Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh posted on ‘X’, “With the end of the fifth phase of voting, voting has been completed on 428 seats. Now only 15 days are left for the farewell of the outgoing Prime Minister.” He claimed that the trend which had started from the first phase is gradually getting stronger, it is clear that BJP is clear in the South. And it is going to be ‘half’ in North, West and East.
Ramesh said, “It seems that the ‘India’ alliance has already crossed the mark of 272 seats and is on its way to winning more than 350 seats in total. Modi ji’s departure is now almost certain. “Back-breaking inflation, record-breaking unemployment, and BJP’s threats to change the Constitution and abolish reservations are the main reasons why people are going to oust this government from power.”

According to Ramesh, “This election has been centered around the positive campaign of the Congress Party. Our Nyaya Patra and our guarantees remained at the center of the campaign of all the parties. The slogan of ‘Khata-Khat’ has caught people’s attention to such an extent that even the outgoing Prime Minister was forced to react to it.” He said that under the National Food Security Act, free food grains for every person. The announcement of guarantee of doubling the quantity has made a strong impact in North and East India.
