New Delhi/Shimla/Jaipur. Citing controversial statements against Rahul Gandhi, Congress on Wednesday alleged that the central government is inciting hatred and violence against the Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha and that this is a conspiracy to endanger his life. Party spokesperson and senior advocate Abhishek Singhvi said this while talking to reporters here. He said that the leaders who make violent and hateful statements against Rahul Gandhi will be given a legal answer. Singhvi said that it would have been better if the government itself had taken action in this matter.

Singhvi said, “The comments made by BJP leaders on Rahul Gandhi are a well-planned conspiracy to endanger the life of Rahul Gandhi. This is the politics of violence and jungle raj, which is defined only by fear and hatred.” He said, “The truth is that such violent statements are the only way to move forward in BJP. But, we will use every legal means and get such people punished.”

Singhvi said, “Democracy demands a democratic response. It may come late, but it will come. This proves that BJP’s threats against Rahul Gandhi will make him stronger.” The Congress leader alleged that this government is inciting hatred and violence against the leader of the opposition, which is a tragedy not only for the ruling party but also for Indian democracy. He said, “Despite the delay, the day of judgment is near for those who do not deserve their constitutional posts.”

Prime Minister, Home Minister are instigating a well-planned campaign against Rahul: Priyanka Gandhi

Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Wednesday alleged that the controversial statements made against the Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi are a well-planned campaign being supported by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah and no action is being taken against them.
Priyanka Gandhi posted on Instagram, “As the Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi is raising the voice of the people more strongly, the verbal and ideological violence against him is increasing.” She asked, “Is raising the voice of crores of Dalits, backward, tribals and poor people of the country such a big crime that BJP has started threatening the Leader of Opposition to make him “like his grandmother”?” Priyanka said, “The continuous violent, indecent and inhuman statements one after the other prove that this is an organized and well-planned campaign which is extremely dangerous for the democracy of the country. Even more dangerous is the entire RSS leadership including the Prime Minister and the Home Minister encouraging it and not taking any action.” She asked whether the people of RSS-BJP now want to make violence and hatred the key mantra of democracy?

BJP leaders are targeting Rahul Gandhi to grab headlines: Sukhu

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Wednesday said that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders are targeting Rahul Gandhi and making comments against him to grab headlines. He said that the Congress and Himachal Pradesh condemn such comments.
Sukhu said while talking to reporters here, “Congress is opposing the anti-people policies of BJP and Rahul Gandhi, who started the ‘Bharat Jodo’ Yatra to unite the country, is the voice of the people. Therefore, BJP is using its leaders to make statements against the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha.” Referring to the comment of Minister of State for Railways Ravneet Bittu, Sukhu said that when he (Bittu) was in Congress, he used to be a strong supporter of Rahul. Bittu had called Rahul ‘the country’s number one terrorist’. Sukhu said that when Bittu was in Congress, he used to praise Rahul a lot. He termed Bittu’s comment as an attempt to grab headlines.

FIR should be lodged against BJP leaders who made objectionable statements against Rahul Gandhi: Randhawa

Congress’ Rajasthan in-charge Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa on Wednesday targeted BJP leaders who made objectionable statements against party leader Rahul Gandhi and said that an FIR should be lodged against such leaders. He said, “The things that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders are saying show that there is panic in the BJP from top to bottom.” Randhawa said that the party will win the by-elections in all the seven assembly constituencies in Rajasthan. Talking to reporters here on Wednesday, Randhawa said, “An FIR should be lodged against BJP leaders who made objectionable statements against Rahul Gandhi. The things that the BJP and its leaders are saying. There is panic in the BJP from top to bottom.”
