Motihari/Maharajganj. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday alleged that if Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar had not been there, former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru would not have allowed reservation to Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST). The Prime Minister also alleged that the opposition ‘India’ alliance stands with corruption, appeasement politics and anti-Sanatan thinking and all of them will get a big blow with the declaration of Lok Sabha election results on June 4.
Addressing separate election rallies in Bihar’s East Champaran and Maharajganj parliamentary constituencies, Modi claimed, “Had Baba Saheb Ambedkar not been there, Nehru ji would not have allowed SC-STs to get reservation. He had protested against this by writing a letter to the Chief Minister. All the Prime Ministers of this family, from Nehru ji to Rajiv Gandhi, opposed OBC reservation.” He said, “Congress has only one vote bank left today and to please it, they want to snatch the reservation of SC, ST and OBC from you on the basis of religion and give it to the people of “Vote Jihad”. The Constitution does not allow this, so they want to change the Constitution.”
He said, “NDA first installed the Dalit son and then the tribal daughter of our country on the highest post of President of the Constitution. It is our government which gave constitutional status to the Backward Classes Commission.” Modi indirectly targeted Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav and said, “Those who are born with a silver spoon do not know what hard work is.” I have heard that someone is saying around here that after June 4, Modi will go on ‘bed rest’. I pray to God, I only wish that there should not be a situation of ‘bed rest’ in the life of any citizen of the country, let alone Modi.”
The Prime Minister said, “You must have seen what the Congress people say, Modi will dig your grave. What do the princes of Uttar Pradesh say, now Modi’s last days are to be spent in Banaras. In this election, these people have no issue except abusing Modi.” Modi said, “This land of Champaran is the land of inspiration. Just yesterday the first five phase elections were completed. The ‘India’ alliance was defeated in the first phase. In the subsequent phases, the alliance ‘collapsed’ and now in the fifth phase which took place yesterday, the India alliance has been completely ‘defeated’.”
Modi alleged, “Congress and its allies together have ruined 60 years of the country. After 60-70 years of independence, when you gave an opportunity to the son of a poor mother to serve you. When Modi came, he reached every toilet. Congress and its allies like RJD only kept you in despair. The poor kept becoming poorer. He said that your vote is not just to elect MPs, your vote is also to elect a strong Prime Minister for a strong India.
Modi also accused the RJD-Congress alliance of making Bihar, where India’s first President Rajendra Prasad hailed from, notorious for extortion. He accused the Congress of “staying silent” on controversial comments made by its leaders and allies against the people of Bihar in states like Punjab, Telangana and Tamil Nadu.
Modi alleged, “The ‘royal family’ of Congress is nurturing the Tukde Tukde gang. You wiped out Congress from here, so they are taking revenge from you. They oppose Lord Ram who united India. RJD and Congress people are unhappy with the construction of Ram temple. It is the responsibility of Maharajganj as well as Siwan to clean up the Congress-RJD politics which is going to tear India into pieces.”
He said, “Congress, RJD and its allies have always played the game of taking this country backward. They themselves have become owners of lakhs of crores and the people struggle for food, clothing and shelter. The platform of ‘India’ alliance is not a political platform, but a conference of scammers worth lakhs of crores. “Scammers worth around Rs 20 lakh crore sit together on their platform.” Modi alleged, “When the leaders of the ‘India’ alliance gather, three evils are clearly visible in them – first, they are extremely ‘100 percent’ communal. Secondly, they are extreme casteists and thirdly, these people are 100% family oriented.”
