Jashpur: Two killed and eight others injured in collision between truck and auto rickshaw

Jashpur. Two people have died and eight others have been injured in a collision between a truck and an auto rickshaw in Jashpur district of Chhattisgarh. Police officials gave this information on Tuesday. An official said that the accident took place at around 2 am on the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday in Bagicha police station area of ​​the district when the victims were returning to their home in Dumartoli village in an auto rickshaw after working as a caterer at a wedding function.

The official said that a truck hit an auto rickshaw near Tehsil Chowk, resulting in the death of Chhotu (11) and Deepesh Nagesh (14), who were traveling in the auto rickshaw, and eight others were injured. Officials said that after receiving the information, a police team was sent to the spot and the injured were sent to the hospital.

He said that five of the injured have been admitted to Ambikapur hospital and three others are being treated at Bagicha hospital. Police officials said that after the incident the truck driver abandoned the vehicle and fled. Police have seized the truck and the driver is being searched. Police have registered the case and the matter is being investigated.
