Korba. 24 bats were found dead in Korba district of Chhattisgarh. Forest officials have suspected that the bats died due to excessive heat. Officials said that samples of the dead bodies of bats have been sent for examination to find out the cause of death. Forest department officials said that information was received about the bodies of bats being found near a pond in Parsada village of Pali forest area on Sunday.
He said that after receiving the information, a team of veterinarians was sent to the spot along with forest workers. Officials said, “Prima facie it seems that the bats died due to heat stroke, but the exact information about the cause of death will be available only after the post-mortem.” He said that the department is investigating the matter.
