Korba. A woman has died in a wild elephant attack in Korba district of Chhattisgarh. Officials gave this information. Forest department officials said that the woman who died in the attack in Kudmura forest area of ​​​​Korba forest division of the district has been identified as Yaado Bai Kanwar (50). Officials said that this morning Yaado Bai was going to Girari village with her husband Vriksh Ram Kanwar, when they encountered a wild elephant.

He said that when the elephant attacked the couple, Vriksha Ram saved his life by running away from there, but Yaado Bai could not run away and the elephant crushed her. Officials said that after the forest department received information about the incident, a team of the department was sent to the spot and the body was sent for post-mortem.

Korba Forest Division Officer Arvind PM said that a wild elephant had entered the area late at night, about which the department was not aware.
The official said that Rs 25,000 has been given to Yaado Bai’s family as immediate relief; the remaining Rs 5.75 lakh will be given after all formalities are completed.
