PM Modi has ended the rule of law: Rahul Gandhi

The Uncut

New Delhi: Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday attacked the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Madhya Pradesh over the death of a Dalit girl in the state and alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has ended the rule of law.

Anjana Ahirwar, a Dalit woman who had lodged a police case in August last year claiming that her brother had been murdered, died on Sunday after falling from an ambulance carrying her uncle’s body in Sagar.

Anjana had filed a case in August last year claiming that her brother was beaten to death by some people who were pressuring him to compromise in a harassment case. Rahul Gandhi posted on the social media platform ‘X’ about this incident, “Narendra Modi has ended the ‘rule of law’. The thought of what BJP leaders have done to this Dalit family in Madhya Pradesh fills my heart with pain and anger.”

He said that it is a matter of shame that in the BJP rule, the government is always found standing with the culprits instead of the victimized women. According to the Congress leader, such incidents break the courage of every person who has no other way to seek justice except the law.

Rahul Gandhi said, “I assure you that we will create a system where even the weakest person will be able to raise his voice strongly against oppression. We cannot allow justice to become dependent on wealth and power.”
