New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the meeting of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) Parliamentary Party. During this, he touched the Constitution of India to his forehead. After this, in the meeting, senior BJP leader Rajnath Singh proposed the name of Narendra Modi as the leader of the National Democratic Alliance and BJP in the Lok Sabha.

Giving credit to Prime Minister Modi for the expansion of the BJP-led NDA, Rajnath said that for the BJP, the alliance is not a compulsion but a commitment. After this, senior BJP leaders Amit Shah, Nitin Gadkari and NDA partners Chandrababu Naidu of TDP, Nitish Kumar of JDU, Eknath Shinde of Shiv Sena and other leaders supported the proposal.

Meanwhile, senior BJP leader Prahlad Joshi said at the NDA Parliamentary Party meeting that Narendra Modi will take oath as Prime Minister for the third time on Sunday. Joshi told the NDA leaders gathered in the Central Hall of the old Parliament House here to elect Modi as their leader that the swearing-in ceremony will take place on June 9 at 6 pm. Apart from NDA MPs, Chief Ministers of BJP-ruled states and senior leaders of the alliance were present in the meeting.
