Raigarh. A 17-year-old boy died in an elephant attack in Chhattisgarh’s Raigarh district. Police officials gave this information on Wednesday. Police officials said that Lakshmi Narayan Dansena died in an attack by a wild elephant in the Kharsia forest range of the district on Wednesday morning.
Raigarh district’s Forest Division Officer Stylo Mandavi said that Dunsena suddenly encountered a wild elephant near the Puslda-Behramudha railway line in Kukricholi village of Kharsia range. He said that before Dunsena could escape from there, the wild elephant crushed him with its feet. Mandavi said that after getting information about the incident, a team of the forest department was sent to the spot and the body was sent for post-mortem. He said that financial assistance of Rs 25 thousand has been given to the family of the deceased.
