Rajasthan police seized heroin worth Rs 30 crore in two days, arrested four smugglers including a woman

Jaipur. In a joint operation, the Special Operations Group (SOG) and the local police station in Rajasthan’s Anupgarh district have seized six kilograms of heroin in two days and arrested four smugglers, including a woman. An official gave this information on Monday.

Anupgarh Additional Superintendent of Police Surendra Kumar Chaudhary said that based on a secret information, Paramjeet Kaur alias Pammi was arrested on Monday after raiding a house in Sameja Kothi police station area along with three kilograms of illegal drug heroin.
He said that initial interrogation of the woman revealed that the heroin was dropped on the border by Pakistan-based smugglers through drones and local smugglers had to send this drug to Punjab. He said that the market value of the recovered heroin is around Rs 15 crore.

Chaudhary said that earlier on Sunday, during a blockade operation in village 79 NP, motorcyclists Dalveer Singh (35), Naresh Kumar Meghwal (35) were arrested and three kilograms of heroin was recovered from them. He said that accused Gurkaran Singh Bajigar (23), who had come from Punjab to get this illegal drug (heroin), was also arrested and his vehicle was also seized.

Additional Superintendent of Police said that the market value of the recovered heroin is about Rs 15 crore. He said that during the initial investigation it was revealed that the heroin was dropped from Pakistan through a drone after which the smugglers were going to send it to Punjab. He said that the arrested smugglers are being interrogated.
