MP Prajjwal Revanna, accused in the sexual harassment case, has finally been arrested. Prajjwal will be taken for medical checkup today. The Special Investigation Team (SIT) has reached the CID office in Bangalore in the morning. He will be questioned at the CID office. If SIT sources are to be believed, his virility test can also be done. Prajjwal’s lawyer, Arun said that he has come forward to cooperate in the investigation. He has requested the media not to conduct a media trial against him. He has been arrested in the Holenarasipura case.
Notice to Prajjwal’s mother too
Apart from this, the SIT has also issued a notice to Prajwal’s mother Bhavani Revanna for questioning. The SIT has asked her to appear at her house in Holenarasipur on June 1. Although Bhavani is not an accused in this case, the SIT reportedly wants to investigate her role. Prajwal’s father MLA HD Revanna was arrested in the same case. He was later released on bail.
Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara said that Prajwal Revanna came from Germany at 12.50 last night. He has been arrested. According to the law, the officers will take action. Earlier on Thursday, hundreds of people protested against suspended Janata Dal (Secular) leader Prajwal Revanna, who is facing allegations of sexual exploitation of several women, and demanded justice for the victims. The protesters took part in the ‘Hassan Chalo’ march and also demanded the arrest of the accused and a fair investigation into the case. The march was organised by a human rights group called ‘Naveddu Niladiddere’. Women, workers, farmers and Dalits from across the state participated in it.
