Two-time Olympic medalist and former world champion Sindhu lost 15-21, 21-15, 14-21 in the women’s singles event of the BWF Super 1000 tournament. This is her first defeat against Wen-Chi.
The Taiwanese player took one hour and 10 minutes to beat the Commonwealth Games gold medalist.
