Sukma. In Naxal-affected Sukma district of Chhattisgarh, Naxalites have killed two villagers including the Deputy Sarpanch after abducting them. Police officials gave this information on Thursday. Police officials told that Naxalites have killed Madvi Ganga, Deputy Sarpanch of Tadmetla Panchayat under Chintagufa police station area and education ambassador Kawasi Sukka after abduction.
He said that Madavi Ganga, Deputy Sarpanch of Tadmetla Panchayat and Shikshadoot Kawasi Sukka were called by Naxalites to Duled village of Jagargunda area about eight days ago, since then they did not return home. Police officials said that the Maoists killed Ganga and Sukka on Wednesday by holding a public court.
He told that the villagers of Tadmetla and the surrounding area had gone to the Naxalites for the release of both the villagers. The villagers are back and all are safe. Police officials told that the Naxalites had called Madvi Ganga two years ago and had left after a few days. This time too, considering the situation as normal, the relatives did not inform the police.
He told that Deputy Sarpanch Madvi was making aware the villagers of the area about the benefits of public welfare schemes like Aadhaar Card, Ration Card, Food Scheme, Ayushman Card etc. of the Ganga Government, while Shikshadoot Kawasi Sukka Tadmetla like rural children of sensitive areas. Was educating by teaching.
Police officers have said that due to the awareness and education of the people of the area, the hold of the anti-development Naxalites was weakening in the area, and their base area was ending, due to which the angry Naxalites killed both the villagers in a fit of rage. He told that after getting information about the incident, a police team was sent to the area and an attempt was made to rescue everyone. He told that the bodies of both the villagers have been recovered and sent for postmortem and the Naxalites involved in the incident are being ascertained.
