Sukma. Unknown attackers killed a police personnel with sharp weapons in Chhattisgarh’s Naxal-affected Sukma district. Police officials gave this information on Monday. Police officials said that last night, unknown people killed head constable Sodhi Laxman with a sharp weapon in Gadiras police station area.
He said that it was learnt that Laxman had gone to a fair organised in the village, when some people attacked him on his neck with sharp weapons. Laxman died on the spot in this attack. Police officials said that after receiving the information, a team from Gadiras police station reached the spot and sent the body for post-mortem.
He said, “Looking at the manner in which the incident happened, it is suspected that it was carried out by a small group of Naxalites. However, investigation is being done from all possible angles including personal enmity.” Officials said that security forces are deployed in the area and search for the attackers has been started.
