The mentality of the alliance of opposition parties ‘India’ is anti-women: Prime Minister Modi

The Uncut

Varanasi. Terming the mentality of the opposition alliance Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (India) as ‘anti-women’, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday claimed that if there was a Congress government today, the kitchen expenses would have been two-three times more, whereas on the contrary, the Bharatiya Janata Party The (BJP) government has helped the public save thousands of rupees through various schemes. The Prime Minister said in the Nari Shakti Sammelan organized in his parliamentary constituency Varanasi that for the first time under his leadership, a government has come to the Center which has taken care of the dignity of women.

He said, “For the first time in the last 10 years, mothers, sisters and women have come at the center of government policies and decisions. “It may not have been discussed that much but it is a big factor in India’s success story.” Accusing the Congress and Samajwadi Party (SP) governments of neglecting women, he said, “When the house cannot run without you, then how can the country run without you, the governments could not understand this for 60 years.” The mentality of the group of parties ‘India’ itself is anti-women. They oppose giving reservation to women.” The Prime Minister cornered the Congress on the issue of inflation and claimed that various schemes of his government have increased the savings of the people.

He said, “The Congress government is best identified through a song. Inflation is a witch… Congress came, brought inflation. If there was a Congress government, your kitchen budget would have increased two-three times, but this Modi continuously tries to reduce your expenditure and increase your savings. Prime Minister Modi said, “Every family is saving about Rs 12 thousand every year through the free ration scheme. Ujjwala LPG Cylinder Scheme is saving more than Rs 300 per cylinder. Medicines are available at 80 percent discount at Jan Aushadhi Kendras. There is also savings due to gas supply through pipeline.”

He said, “In the last 10 years, more than three lakh people have undergone cataract operation in Varanasi. If we consider at least Rs 10,000 per operation, crores of rupees are left for the people.” The Prime Minister said that through ‘PM Surya Ghar Yojana’, two to two and a half thousand rupees are being saved per month in electricity bills. This scheme will be expanded if the government is formed after June 4.

Attacking SP on the issue of women’s safety, he said, “The people of Banaras are familiar with the ‘Jungle Raj’ prevalent in both Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. It was difficult for sisters and daughters to leave the house. Daughters had to leave studies and sit at home and SP people used to shamelessly say… they are boys, boys make mistakes. Today, let the SP boys make a mistake and show it… Yogi ji’s government will do to them a condition which they could not have even imagined.” The Prime Minister said that despite being ridiculed by the opposition, his government has built 11 crore toilets i.e. ‘Izzatghar’. He said that under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, more than four crore pucca houses were built and their registration was done in the name of women so that they could become house owners.

He said, “These were not just schemes but it gave new confidence to women power. This was my mission, this was my thinking.” Prime Minister Modi alleged, “The leaders of the opposition alliance openly say that I will destroy the power that Hindus have, but after June 4, Modi will make your power a superpower.” The Prime Minister called for ‘lotus blossoming’ at every polling booth in Varanasi and said that this time all the records of voting in Banaras are to be broken.

He said, “No matter how busy I am in campaigning for the party, I am always rest assured about Banaras because you all are in charge of everything.” Earlier, Prime Minister Modi reached the venue in an open vehicle along with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, greeting people. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also addressed the program. Referring to the Women’s Reservation Act and other schemes focused on women, he claimed that this time Modi is getting full support from half the population from all sides.
