Ramesh said that after 20 years, history is repeating itself in the country because just as the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) had defeated the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in 2004, similarly the ‘Indian National Development Inclusive Alliance’ of opposition parties has (India)’ ruling. The party general secretary, who came here to campaign in favor of Congress candidate from Sirsa and former Union Minister Kumari Selja, expressed confidence that the ‘India’ alliance will win all the 10 parliamentary constituencies in Haryana and will also win in the assembly elections to be held a few months after the general elections. Ramesh said that people have understood that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is “spreading an epidemic of lies in the country by repeatedly lying about everything.” According to a statement, he said, “The Prime Minister cannot speak a truth even unknowingly.” He said that Modi has lost the trust of the people. Recalling that in 2004, the BJP had fought the elections under the leadership of Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on the slogan of ‘India Shining’, Ramesh said that 20 years ago no one believed that the BJP would lose the elections.
