New Delhi. Two judges of the Delhi High Court and one of the Chhattisgarh High Court were transferred to various high courts on Wednesday. The Supreme Court Collegium had on March 15 recommended the transfer of Delhi High Court judges – Justice V Kameswara Rao and Justice Sanjeev Sachdeva – to the high courts of Karnataka and Madhya Pradesh respectively.

Justice Rao had requested for transfer to any other High Court, while Justice Sachdeva had expressed his wish to be transferred to any High Court. The Collegium had recommended the transfer of Justice Arvind Singh Chandel from the Chhattisgarh High Court to the Patna High Court, as he had requested the body of judges not to send him to the Madras High Court. His request was accepted by the Collegium. Separate notifications were issued by the Law Ministry on the transfer of three judges on Wednesday.
