face: A boy and his uncle were killed and five others injured when a car hit a group of people sitting on the roadside in Gujarat’s Surat city, a police official said on Saturday.
An official of Uttaran police station said that the accident took place on the outer ring road of the city at around 11.30 pm on Friday night. He said, “The driver of the car lost control of the vehicle, due to which it went off the road and crushed the people sitting on the roadside.”
He said that eight-year-old Vyaan and his 32-year-old uncle Sanket Bavariya died in the accident.
Police inspector A D Mahant said the car was coming from Ahmedabad when its driver dozed off. The car driver, identified as Yagnesh Gohil (40), has been arrested.
