Riyaz Dar was a “commander” of the banned Lashkar-e-Taiba and was wanted in several terror cases. He was dodging security forces for many years. A police officer said that the security forces had launched the operation after getting concrete information about the presence of terrorists there. The officer said that the terrorists opened fire on the members of the search team and two terrorists were killed in the encounter.
