Deputy Chief Minister and Urban Administration and Development Minister Arun Sao held a meeting of officials of all urban bodies of the division at Surguja divisional headquarters Ambikapur today and reviewed the progress of development works and implementation of schemes. In the meeting held at Ambikapur Collectorate, he instructed the officials to prepare an action plan for the well-planned and systematic development of cities and work accordingly. He asked the Commissioners of Municipal Corporations and Chief Municipal Officers of Municipalities and Nagar Panchayats to work in better coordination with the engineers to complete all the works with quality and within the time limit. Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao told in the meeting that a total of Rs 141 crore 99 lakh has been released to various urban bodies of Surguja division for development works in the last ten months under the head of infrastructure. Under the 15th Finance Commission, Rs 44 crore 34 lakh has been provided. He said that in the last ten months, about Rs 600 crore has been released to the urban bodies of the state for development works and Rs 1450 crore has been released under the 15th Finance Commission head. In the meeting, he took information about the implementation of the instructions given in the state level review meeting held in Raipur last month on the functioning of urban bodies, changes in working methods and maintenance of offices. He said that the Commissioner and CMO should understand their responsibilities and work seriously in the interest of the cities. Extend the benefits of government welfare schemes to the people. Make cities clean and beautiful. In the meeting, he also took information about the implementation of transfer orders and disposal of unresolved applications received during the Public Problem Solving Fortnight.

Deputy Chief Minister and Public Health Engineering Minister Arun Sao today reviewed the progress of work in Surguja division of Public Health Engineering Department at Surguja divisional headquarters Ambikapur. In a meeting held at Ambikapur rest house, he reviewed the progress of Jal Jeevan Mission works in Surguja, Jashpur, Surajpur, Korea, Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur and Balrampur-Ramanujganj districts and gave necessary instructions to the officials. Secretary of Public Health Engineering Department Mohammad Qaiser Abdulhaq, Director of Jal Jeevan Mission Dr. Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure and Collector of Surguja Bhoskar Vilas Sandipan were also present in the review meeting.

While reviewing the works of Jal Jeevan Mission in the meeting, Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao said that it is the dream of our Prime Minister Narendra Modi to provide clean and safe drinking water to every household. He told the officers to work actively as per the responsibility given to them. Jal Jeevan Mission is neither a project nor a campaign. This is a mission and we need to work in mission mode. He gave instructions to work closely on every tap water scheme under Jal Jeevan Mission.
